Kano State Government is inviting residents to visit designated centers to receive tree seedlings for planting as part of its efforts to combat climate change.
The government, through the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, stated that this initiative is in line with its commitment to make Kano greener and restore green spaces throughout the state.

In an announcement circulated across the state, residents are encouraged to visit the designated centers in their vicinity to obtain seedlings.
The announcement also urged residents to refrain from illegal tree cutting, as this could result in various penalties, including imprisonment.
It is worth noting that the state government has pledged to plant three million trees across the state, some of which will be planted by residents to promote the practice of tree planting within the community.
