The Seed Entrepreneurs Association of Nigeria (SEEDAN) has paid a second courtesy visit to the headquarters of the National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC) in Abuja, as part of efforts to deepen collaboration for the growth and development of the nation’s seed industry.
The SEEDAN delegation was warmly received by the Director-General of NASC, Hon. Fatuhu Mohammed, who reaffirmed the Council’s commitment to working closely with private seed companies to enhance seed production, certification, and distribution across the country.

Discussions during the meeting focused on strengthening the seed certification process and improving quality assurance mechanisms to ensure that Nigerian farmers consistently access high-quality, certified seeds that guarantee higher yields and productivity.
Hon. Fatuhu commended SEEDAN for its continuous engagement and constructive partnership with the Council, noting that both institutions share a common goal of building a vibrant and competitive seed sector that will contribute significantly to national food security.
He emphasized that NASC remains open to collaboration with all stakeholders across the agricultural value chain to achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda’s objectives in the seed and food security ecosystem.
