Yelwa said that the items were distributed to farmers from Bassa, Barkin Ladi and Bokkos Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state
He added that the gesture was aimed at supporting the food security drive of the Federal Government.
“In March this year, power tillers were distributed to farmers across the three LGAs of Plateau that are housing the N-HYPPADEC facilities.
“Today, we are here again to distribute these planters to farmers across the three LGAs.
“This is to boost farming activities and food security in the country,” he said.
Yelwa also seized the opportunity to sensitise Plateau residents to measures needed to avert flooding in their respective communities.
He called on the residents to keep their environment clean and desist from building on water ways. (NAN)
