    BUK organizes conference to address environmental crises in Muslim world

    Faculty of Earth & Environmental Sciences, Bayero University Kano (BUK) in conjunction with Al-Istiqama University and International Institute of Islamic Thought (IIIT) has organized an international conference to address global and local environmental crises in the Muslim World.

    The conference titled First International Transdisciplinary Hybrid Conference on Sustainability and Ecological Resilience in the Muslim World would address global and local environmental crises through Islamic perspectives and Muslim experiences.

    Document received from Dean of the Faculty, Professor Aliyu Salisu Barau indicated that the conference would take place on 5th and 6th February, 2024 at the University main campus along Gwarzo Road in Kano.

    Kamran Shezad, Director Islamic Foundation for Ecology and Environmental Sciences, Birmingham United Kingdom, Professor Omar Kasule, Secretary General IIIT King Fahad Medical City Saudi Arabia and Professor Stephanle Zehnle, Christian Albrecht University Kiel, Germany are keynote speakers at the conference.
