Kano state government has commended the people of the state for their commitment to the monthly sanitation exercise in keeping their environment clean.
This was revealed by the commissioner for environment, Nasiru Sule Garo during the inspection of end-of-the-month sanitation on Saturday.

The commissioner disclosed that, Kano state government under the leadership of engineer Abba Kabir Yusuf is committed to ridding the environment of any trash that can result in any disasters.
He added that, the monthly sanitation has been introduced to allow the people of Kano have enough time to clean their environment against any surrounding grime.
Speaking to newsmen about the outcome of exercise, the commissioner said “I am highly impressed with the compliance of good people of Kano state in this first end-of-the-month sanitation for the year 2024. And I am very happy about how the people complied with the directives of the government.
“We thank the good people of Kano state for the compliance and we are hoping and calling on them to continue to give us all the necessary support and cooperation.”
While calling on the people to always be obedient against any punishment, the commissioner also asked them not only remain at home during the stated hours of the sanitation but to take part in cleaning their environment.
