The Businesses of Cow Milk is fast on a booming pace in Kano State following the intervention of the Kano Agro Pastoral Development Project (KSADP) – an Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) project improving the daily income of the Marketers to the tune of N200 Million daily.
Speaking to Our Correspondent, the Chairman of the Cow Milk Marketers Association, Muhammad Ahmad Lawan Allarama, said that the intervention has improved their Markets and made them an internationally oriented Market today.

He said Government through the IsDB donated to them over 100 Generating Sets, grinding and blending machines that they distributed to over 200 of their members, which made them have smooth storage facility systems.
However, the Chairman, called on Government to Commence usage of the 40 already built Milk Collection Centers across the State which would ease the storage as well as exportation of their products.
He said, “the 40 Milk Collection Centers across the state were fully equipped and completed for a long time, however they could not understand why the Government refused to start operating the places.
“If the 40 Milk Collection Centers are fully operational, I’m betting you that in the next few months, we will be transporting our Products to International Markets.
“Today, our Storages facilities are the only problems we have with our Milks becoming waste as a result of lack of improper storages system and cooling cold rooms”.
KSADP with the intervention of Islamic Development Bank and other partners built over 40 Milk Collection Centers across the State.
The Chairman added that with the Milk Collection Centers will assist their businesses to be improved to a greater height as they currently have a manpower capacity of 20,000 members across the State benefiting.
On his part, Sunusi Abdullahi Sunusi who is the Secretary of the association said that on a daily basis they transport over 2 Million liters of Cow milk adding that having cooling trailers would help them in their transportation of their products.
He said they transport Cow milk from across the Northern region therefore sought for the installation of energy and provisions of Solar energy that would help them use effectively their blenders.
