    Kano resolves to partner relevant agencies to ensure clean environment

    The Kano State Ministry of Environment and Climate Change has reiterated resolve to work closely with relevant agencies, departments and private organizations towards ensuring cleaner environment for speedy development of the state.

    The state Commissioner For Environment and Climate Change Nasiru Sule Garo disclosed this while receiving the Officials from the National Oil Spill detection and response agency who called on him in his office.

    A Statement by the Director, Public Enlightenment of the ministry, Ismail Garba Gwammaja said the Commissioner who expressed appreciation for the visit said that the present administration of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf is a progressive government, its doesn’t segregate when it comes the issue of developments and projects execution for the benefit of teeming populaces.

    Garo assured his ministry’s readiness to work very closely with the agency for maximum benefit, adding that his door will remain open 24/7  for any agencies, NGOs, or groups that would add value to the consolidated achievements so far recorded at the ministry of Environment and Climate Change.

    Earlier, in his remarks the Zonal Head officer in charge of Kano office of the National Oil Spill detection and response agency, Malan Muhammad Bushara said there were at the ministry of Environment and Climate Change to introduce themselves and the new office of this agency, and also to seek the ministry support and cooperation to enable them discharge their mandate effectively and efficiently.

    Bushara further explained that, the agency is a partner in progress and with out the full support of the ministry of Environment their mission would not be successful, and expressed delight for the warm reception accorded to them and hope the tempo would be maintained.
