The Institute for Agricultural Research (IAR), Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, is celebrating two of its distinguished scholars, Professor Zakari Abdulsalam and Professor S. A. Sanni, who have been conferred with the prestigious Fellowship of the Nigerian Association of Agricultural Economists (NAAE).
The honour was bestowed during the 2025 Annual Conference of the NAAE, held at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria. The recognition highlights their remarkable contributions to the growth of agricultural economics, research, and policy development in Nigeria.

Both professors have distinguished themselves through years of impactful research, academic mentorship, and leadership in advancing agricultural productivity and sustainable development. In a statement, the management of the Institute for Agricultural Research congratulated the two scholars, describing the honour as “a well-deserved recognition of excellence and dedication.”
