The Kano State Refuse Management and Sanitation Board (REMASAB) has launched a major waste evacuation exercise at Kofar Naisa (Hauren Joka), as part of the agency’s daily operations to ensure a cleaner environment across the state.

The Managing Director of REMASAB, Dr. Muhammad S. Khalil, led the sanitation team during the exercise, emphasizing the agency’s commitment to safeguarding public health and improving environmental hygiene in the area.

Agro Climate News reports that in a few months to the coming of the rainy season, residents and stakeholders are urged to prepare and take proactive measures such as waste evacuation among others.

REMASAB embarked on the operation following complaints from residents of the community, who reported that the heaps of refuse were affecting their well-being and posing serious health risks.

Keeping Kano State clean remains one of the key policy priorities of the Kano State Government under the leadership of Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The administration is focused on creating a healthy and safe environment for all residents of the state through sustained sanitation efforts.
