House of Representatives Member Representing Toro Federal Constituency of Bauchi State, Hon. Ismail Dabo Haruna has distributed 3,000 bags of Fertilizer to farmers across the 17 wards of the constituent.
Speaking during the distribution ceremony, the member said the gesture is to support small scale farmers to boost their farming at a time when the inputs, particularly fertilizer, are on the rise.

The member who is in his first term called on the beneficiaries to effectively make use of the fertilizer as a means of curbing food insufficiency in the Area.
AgroClimateNews reports that Toro local Government area of Bauchi State have most of its citizens as farmers and that majority of the residents rely on farming as a means of earning a living.
Speaking about the gesture, the beneficiaries said it is coming at the time of need, as majority of the beneficiaries cannot afford to buy the fertilizer at this farming Season.
They applauded him for remembering them at this critical material time that the Constituents are battling with financial challenges as a results of the consequences of fuel subsidy removal.
According to them, the most interesting part of this gesture is that, the Member used his hard earned wealth to procured these 3,000 bags of Fertilizer to support the vulnerable.
“It is not an allocation of the Federal Government or any intervention but a gesture from the member himself,” one of the beneficiaries said.
