The partnership seeks to address Nigeria’s persistent power challenges, expand access to clean energy in rural communities, and align national efforts with global climate commitments under the Paris Agreement.
As part of the collaboration, the Ministry pledged to expedite environmental approvals for REA projects and enhance renewable energy financing through the Green Bond initiative.
Both agencies will also jointly implement projects on waste management, solar deployment, and the National Circular Economy Roadmap — all aimed at creating green jobs, cutting carbon emissions, and fostering inclusive, sustainable growth.
