The Kano State Police Command has joined hands with climate advocate and cyclist Edidiong Etefia to promote environmental sustainability and raise awareness on the dangers of climate change.
Mr. Etefia, founder of the Emergency Action on Climate Change Initiative, visited the Command as part of his solo cycling tour across Nigeria.

The visit featured a tree planting exercise symbolizing the Police Command’s commitment to environmental protection.
The event took place on Wednesday at the Bompai Police Headquarters in Kano.
The collaboration aims to support the Nigeria Police Green Initiative and emphasize the link between climate action and national security.
Mr. Etefia was received by DCP Lawal Mani, who represented Commissioner of Police Ibrahim Adamu Bakori. DCP Mani commended the cyclist’s mission and reaffirmed the Command’s support for initiatives that promote a greener and safer environment.

The event highlights growing police involvement in climate advocacy and the need for joint efforts toward a more sustainable future.
